Hi guys!
I
certainly had an eventful week. First of all, we picked up three new
investigators! They're not incredibly solid, but hopefully that comes
with time. Two of them would be, they really just need to go to church,
and I guess they've had problems with that with missionaries who have
taught them previously. But anyway, we're pretty excited with the growth
that is happening in our teaching pool. We are also set to pick up 2
new investigators this evening after P-Day ends and they ought to be
pretty solid.
But
even more eventful than that was transfers. As I said last week, I'm
training again. So Tuesday afternoon I went down to St. George to await
the trainer meeting the next day. And two other Elders who came out with
me, Elder Wells and Elder Martell, are also training, and all three of
us were assigned to stay at the APs' apartment. And one of the APs is
Elder Prior, which means our MTC group (all of them in this mission) was
all back together. It was a lot of fun! We had a great time that night.
And
the next day we had the trainer meeting and got our greenies. My new
"son" is Elder Cockerham from McAllen, Texas, and he's pretty awesome.
He's super nice, and always seems really happy and calm. And he's
excited to work, which is good, because I've only got three months left,
and I refuse to slow down at all going into this final stretch. I've
gotta go out with a bang and baptize everyone!
The
other eventful thing from the week was Zone Meeting. It was literally
one of the two best Zone Meetings I've had in over 21 months of being a
missionary! Kudos to our ZLs Elders Virgin and Bright (my first "son").
It was edifying and spiritually uplifting, had a lot of good reminders
about things we can do better at, and it was super exciting and fun. It
got us all really hyped up, or as Elder Stone would say, "real
passionate!". Part of it is that we're going to do some friendly
competition for who can find the most new investigators every week, and
it's set up like a March Madness bracket. It's going to be awesome!
An that just about sums up the week. Really fun. And now this week is looking pretty great too. I'm looking forward to it all!
Have a great week!
