Hi everybody!
This has been a good week! We we've actually not had as many lessons as would have been nice, but we had a baptism, and we have three more on date for this month! Bettie was baptized on Saturday (I got to perform that one). Dylan is getting baptized (I also get to baptize him) on This Saturday morning, and Jason is getting baptized Saturday afternoon! Anyway, and Monica is on date for the 30th. She and her husband are going to the Payson Temple Openhouse on Wednesday too, and
I think that will be really good. So yeah, by the end of the month we are expecting 4 baptisms! We also just got the unbaptized child lists and part-member family lists for both stakes, so now we have a lot of people to try and work with. So even though our numbers for the week were a little low, things are in fact going very well.
We had Exchanges and Interviews with the President this past week. That was cool. Our new District Leader is Elder Daines, serving in Nephi. He is really cool. He came to Mount Pleasant with me on
Wednesday. We had a great time! On Tuesday we had our interviews with President Center. He is just the most awesome person! It just feels good to talk to him. We learned some sad news though. The Mt. Pleasant area will not be splitting anytime soon. More missionaries are leaving than are getting called to the St. George, so there will be a few areas closing. So we'll be covering a double area for at least the next couple transfers. I did find out that President a Center has been to Albion! We were just chatting after interviews and he asked again what city I was from, and it turns out he has been through it. He's from Ohio, so it makes sense.
So yeah, a baptism this past week, and three more coming up! And that is not the only thing dealing with water this past week. It has rained just about every day this past week! Isn't Utah supposed to be dry? It has been super wet, and quite cold too. It is starting to remind me of Michigan. Seriously, it has been super rainy! I guess it's good because Utah needs it.
