iPads and Stuff

March 16, 2015

Hello everybody! I hope everyone has had a good week!
Our investigators are all still doing really well. Three out of the eight are on date for baptism!
Last week was another exchange. So for a day Elder Samuelson, the district leader was with me in my area. He is super cool! He is a fellow nerd like myself (we had a deep conversation about gospel parallels in Middle Earth and other awesome stuff like that), and he is probably one of the best teachers I've seen so far on my mission. We had some really good lessons, one of my investigators agreed to baptism, and we contacted some referrals. It was a really productive exchange (and I could speak the language this time!)!
We got our missionary iPads on Friday! I haven't used mine a whole lot, but the gospel library app is super awesome! That's about the only thing we use it for right now anyway (along with LDS Tools, basically a church directory). Soon though, we will also be using it as our planners and area books.
So, I just want to share a few thoughts on Joseph Smith. Elder Falconbury (my companion) and I have been listening to a bunch of talks about Joseph, and during lunch yesterday, and using the gospel library app on the iPad, we watched "Joseph Smith: Prophet of the Restoration". I just want to share that I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet of God, and that I think he is one of the greatest men who have ever lived. It would have been so cool to be one of the people that knew him personally.
Well, that's all for today. Sorry it's a bit short. I had less email time today. I miss you guys!
