Hello everybody! Happy belated Easter!
This email won't be too long today because I don't have computer access today and I have to send this via iPad. They are handy, but I strongly dislike typing on them and it takes me twice as long. So this
email is going to be fairly short.
We had exchanges again this past week. I was with my District Leader,Elder Samuelson (he is super awesome) in Moroni. We actually only had one appointment follow through, but we were blessed with two or three unplanned lessons. As for my area, things are doing well. We just got a bunch of new referrals so we have some more work to do now! We also have a baptism scheduled for this Saturday! On Friday we had Zone Meeting and I got to meet my new Zone Leaders. They are really cool. We found out that our zone is actually the highest baptizing zone in the entire mission! Hopefully we keep it up. I'm confident that we can.
Saturday and Sunday were General Conference. I loved that so much. I love listening to our living prophet and apostles speak! I loved too many talks to really have a favorite, but I did love the emphasis so many speakers put on the importance of the family, and I loved Elder Holland and President Uchtdorf's talks about Easter. So good!
I also just love Easter in general. I love having a day to celebrate the Savior's Atonement and Resurrection. He suffered for the sins and pains of everyone in Gethsemane, He experienced physical death and spiritual abandonment on the cross, and on the third day, he rose again. "He is not here, for He is risen." That is probably the most wonderful statement in history. Because of Him, we are not bound by death either, and that is a free gift to all who have lived the Earth. And if we come unto Him, repent, and try our best to keep His commandments and follow Him, through His atoning sacrifice, we can return to our Father in Heaven and be with our families for Eternity. Literally everything is possible because of Christ. I love Him and I know that He lives, even today, and I am thankful to be about His work.
I hope everybody has a great week!
-Elder Oswald
